Enemy to Me
From an age of small wonders
I have known your sweet and savory song
With a crisp crunch, that delightful soundtrack
of a tantalizingly tasty treat
Yet our time together, was never to be
Now, even a kiss
Leaves me breathless
Gasping for air
Trembling with anxiety
Why do you hurt me, so callously
One day
you shall be returned to me
By my last breath
I will consume thee
To taste you, my forbidden root
